Download

The screensaver can be installed from our online APT repository or you can download the individual packages.

Packages are available for Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, Gutsy 7.10, Feisty 7.04 and Edgy 6.10.

Using APT

1. Install the key:

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 9B1DB022
gpg --export --armor 9B1DB022 | sudo apt-key add -

2. Add the repository:

Edit your APT sources file:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Add the following lines to the end (change "hardy" to gutsy, feisty or edgy if you're on an old release):

# Eternity Screensaver
deb http://parker1.co.uk/apt hardy main
deb-src http://parker1.co.uk/apt hardy main

3. Install the packages

To install the screensavers:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install eternal-ubuntu eternal-damnation eternal-studio

4. Select the screensaver

Run the Screensaver selection tool:

The screensavers are called Eternity, Eternal Ubuntu, Eternal Damnation and Eternal Studio.

NOTE: see here if you run xscreensaver (as opposed to Gnome Screensaver or KScreensaver)

Installing from Packages

If you don't want to use the APT repository, you can just download the individual packages...
