My name is Fay Parker. I am 41 years old and have been married to Garry (a software engineer) for 18 years. We have four children: two girls aged 12 and 10 and two boys aged 8 and 6. I have a degree in German and Russian and worked as an International Sales and Marketing Manager for an intruder alarm manufacturer until our first child was born. My job involved a lot of foreign travel and at that point, I chose to focus my time on my young family as a stay-at-home mum.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at home with my children and childminding was an obvious and natural progression for me. I became an Ofsted Registered Childminder in March 2012. I love the flexibiIity of being self-employed and I am lucky to be able to do something I love while being there for my own young family. I enjoy working with young children and making a positive difference to their and their families’ lives. The children I care for are welcomed into our home and offered the same loving environment as my own children.

With four young children of my own, I choose to work four days a week, term-time only and I do not offer after-school care. This means that I can offer a stable home-from-home environment where the children really get to know each other and form lasting friendships.

I am located on Brindle Road, close to the Hospital Inn and mid-way between Hoghton and Bamber Bridge (Preston PR5 6YN).
